What You’ll Experience on a Day Trip
A day trip by catamaran to Similan is often designed to give you the fullest experience of the Similan Islands National Park:
Journey to paradise: Depart from the pier in Phuket and head to the Similan Islands, which takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the speed of the boat and the sea conditions.
World-class snorkeling: Upon arrival at Similan, the boat will take you to some of the best snorkeling spots, such as Koh Payu (Island 7) or Koh Bangu (Island 9), where you’ll find pristine coral reefs, colourful fish and even sea turtles.
Relax on white sandy beaches: Stop at Koh Similan (Island 8), the largest island and famous for its powdery white sandy Donald Duck Bay. You can stroll, relax on the beach or climb up to the iconic Sail Rock for some stunning photo opportunities.
Delicious lunch on the boat or on the beach: Enjoy a well-prepared buffet or set lunch, either served on the boat with a view of the sea or on the beautiful beach.
Relax on a beautiful island: Stop at Koh Miang (Island 4), another island with beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, perfect for relaxing, swimming or walking around collecting shells.
Return at ease: In the late afternoon, the catamaran will take you back to Phuket for a relaxing trip, with time to relax on the deck and watch the sunset along the way.
